Ondo West Hosts Historic First Business & Investment Summit
In a major move to boost the local economy and attract new development, the Ondo West Local Government recently hosted its first-ever Business and Investment Summit.
The historic event brought together industry experts, academic leaders, and potential investors to discuss the vast economic opportunities available within our community. The summit focused on showcasing Ondo West as a prime destination for commerce, agriculture, and innovation.
Strategic Vision for Growth
The summit was headlined by the launch of a significant new book titled "Ondo West Local Government: People, Places and Prospects." This document serves as a roadmap for the region's development, highlighting key areas where investors can partner with the government to create jobs and wealth for the people.
Leadership Commitment
The Executive Chairman, Hon. Ayotunde Akinfolarin, accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Alh. Hon. Oluwole Bashiru (Bantolee), led the proceedings.
In his address, Hon. Ayotunde Akinfolarin emphasized that his administration is fully open for business. "We are building an Ondo West that is not just resting on its history, but actively building a prosperous future for our youth and businesses," the Chairman stated.
Key Partnerships
A major highlight of the summit was the strengthening of ties between the Local Government and the academic community. The Council leadership conferred a special award on the Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) and pledged a robust partnership with the institution to drive educational and economic advancement in the LGA.
